Business and Industry Operations
Students access various technological resources, will utilize Microsoft word to publish word processing documents for electronic forms of communication: business letters, outlines, reports, and memos. Presentational software (PowerPoint): create mini slide shows and one page documents for class presentations. Students access Internet to research topics for their Leadership Program presentations. Technology is an integral piece this unit, and an ongoing tool utilized in this entire program on a regular basis.
Francophone Tourism Package
Students will research and write a report about their chosen country and present their research to the classmates
The French Revolution
Students learn the cause and results of the French Revolution.
French: Digital Autobiography
The purpose of this experience is to internalize French expressions learned at Level 1. Students will use what they have learned by applying it to themselves personally. This experience follows basic introductory lessons of introduction, description, self-identification and location.
The Arts in Hispanic Culture:Music, Literature and
Art, music and literature are important cultural aspects. An appreciation of Hispanic art, music and literature allows a deeper understanding of the culture. After completing this learning experience, students will be able to identify a variety of important Hispanic artists, musicians and writers and their works of art, music or literature. Students will be able to use Microsoft Publisher to create a poster, book jacket, brochure, business card or invitation to an event highlighting the individual and their works of art. This learning experience will be completed in eight forty-minute periods in a Level III or IV Spanish class. These eight class periods were not consecutive, our culture classes are held every Friday.
Los Artistas Hispanicos
Art is an important cultural aspect. An appreciation of Hispanic art allows one to examine the historical influences that impact a country. After completing this unit, students will be able to make a connection between the artist's life, their works of art and historical events. This unit will be completed in twenty-three forty-minute periods in a Spanish IV class.
